Epilogue

Fall comes to Shadowdale, and with it harvest, celebrations and preparations for winter. The Dales have few worries, and the people resume the normal rhythms and cycles of their lives.

In Myth Drannor, the Elven Court hosts dignitaries from surrounding kingdoms for the Feast of the Moon between Uktar and Nightal. Elamer Tinduh shows you his new project – the restoration of the Great Library of Myth Drannor and the re-establishment of the wizards’ colleges. In hushed tones, he tells you of a large stone key that was found in one of the deep vaults, radiating powerful enchantment. It is now held by Queen Amlaruil, who has returned to Myth Drannor from Evermeet, against the greatest need.

The Eilistraeean drow homeland in the eastern reaches of Cormanthor continues to attract converts – as well as spies, assassins and openly hostile Lolthite drow. Nonetheless, the Eilistraeeans and their allies continue to expand their new home, and its very existence draws many curious drow into their fold.

Despite the death of Chief Engineer Grimble Ironfoot during the Seeker’s attack on Dun Khorn, work on the construction of the lower deeps of the new keep continues through the winter. The barony’s mithril mine enters limited operation in early Hammer. Its wealth helps fund continued expansion and building projects in Hillcrown – and adds to the already considerable wealth of its barons.

Yenna Gavarra remains in Dun Khorn through the winter, and on 1 Mirtul, 1375 gives birth to Tinnin Obarskyr II. By royal decree of the Steel Princess, the baby is declared legitimate and eligible for succession – though the possibility of ascendancy is still remote, given his genetic distance from Alusair. With the money she received from the Seeker, Yenna announces plans to build a farm and remain in Hillcrown indefinitely to raise her child.

Cormyr's Champions remain for a time in Shadowdale, but then return to their homeland with many thanks to the Barons of  Dun Khorn for their freedom. Both groups have much in common, and agree to aid each other should either require it.

In the spring of 1375, the Great Oak of Hillcrown once again brings forth leaves and warmth.

Tyranny, hatred, strife and fear still thrive in many parts of Faerun – particularly in the Old Empries, where the unhappy wars between Mulhorand and her neighbors drag on. However, the Dales and the Moonsea seem to suffer the unusual blessing of withheld divine sponsorship for Bane’s old portfolio. For the time being, Shadowdale is safe.
